Errata in Readme for WHS Toolkit RRS feed

  • Question

  • The instructions are wrong on two significant points:

    2.      At the command prompt, type “cd –d %ProgramFiles%\Windows Home Server\Toolkit” (without the quotation marks) to change the current directory

This is not correct - it should be %ProgramFiles%\Windows Home Server\Toolkit

(if it's the change drive and path switch, that would be /d but no drive is specified)

    3.      Type ClientTroubleShooter.exe –a to start the Troubleshooter.

    There is no file called  ClientTroubleShooter.exe - it's  ConnectTroubleShooter.exe

Apart from that, it's good to see this utility at last!

Is there any way to report feedback? It claims it can't find my gateway or DHCP server, but I see now it's because the tests haven't been run, which is a little confusing. And it doesn't like my PocketPC being plugged in at the same time so complains about there being two NICs.
