SOLVED: MapPoint 2011 doesn't work under my user account (but does under others) RRS feed

  • Just as the title says - I just installed MapPoint 2011 and it doesn't work under my user account.  I can log into another account and it loads up just fine.    If I load it under mine I just get the splash screen and it sits there.

    I am running Windows 7 Ultimate x64 SP1.  I really, really don't want to migrate user profiles.....

  • I figured my problem out.   I have a 3 monitor setup and I use a product called DisplayFusion.  Once I disabled this software MapPoint fired right up.  I am using DisplayFusion 3.4.0 (beta 2).

    In DisplayFusion I had to go to SETTINGS --> COMPATABILITY --> Add MapPoint.exe as application --> Edit --> Uncheck "Allow this application to load DisplayFusion Hooks"
