Microsoft office not genuine and internet explorer errors

Question
-
I have been using my version of office for about 2 or so years now when I bought this computer, and now all of the sudden it says it is not genuine. I can still use Word, outlook, etc, but at the top of the page it states "not genuine". Not sure if this is related, but around the same time this happened I started having internet explorer problems. Whenever I close out of an internet page I get an error saying that a problem occured and that it has to restart. I did a diagnostic test on my office and here are the results:

From your MGA Report:
Office Status: 103 Blocked VLK
Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007 - 103 Blocked VLKUnfortunately, you have a non-genuine "Volume License" copy of Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007 installed. This Enterprise Office suite is included in a Volume Licensing agreement purchased by business enterprises and not individuals. The original owner of this VL agreement has reported the license lost, stolen or misused to Microsoft. As a result, the software license is no longer deemed valid. You'll need to uninstall this non-genuine software and purchase a genuine Micreosoft Office edition. Genuine Microsoft software can be purchaes directly from the Microsoft Store.

Thanks for the info. I purchased the computer from a coworker who no longer works with me, so he must have tried to use the license on another computer or something. One question I do have is that I use outlook for my email. If I purchase another microsoft office, can I transfer my email to my new outlook or will I loose all my emails? I can retrieve my email from yahoo as well, but I have a lot of contacts/saved folders where everything is organized in outlook. Also, what will happen if I continue to use the "non genuine" form of microsoft office? Is there a timeline from when I first received the error to when I won't have access to any office features?
What about my internet error I am receiving...is this related at all? I tried all the options microsoft gave me (disabeling add ons, running virus scans, etc) but nothing works.
Thanks!

Your actual email data is stored in your User Account settings so uninstalling the non-genuine Microsoft Office and installing a genuine edition will not adversely affect anything. Continuing to use non-genuine Microsoft Office software will not be adverse if you don't mind the periodic non-genuine notification flags that will keep popping up.

...and to answer you last question, it's unlikely that your error message is related to the Office problem - Have you tried running a scan with a specialist malware remover such a Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (www.malwarebytes.org )?
