  • OS: Windows XP Professional English 32-bit SP3

    Model: Toshiba Satellite M40

Recently, my system freezes frequently, and displays messages of numerous errors, including DLL and other application errors.

Here are the errors that I have encountered:

    Application Error
The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000006). Click on OK to terminate the application.

    Windows - Application Error
The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005). Click on OK to terminate the application.

    Microsoft Windows Recovery Console
    chkdsk /R
    Completed 75%.
This volume contains one or more unrecoverable problems.

msert error (msert is the Microsoft Safety Scanner application)
This application can not start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling this application may fix this problem.

integrator.exe - Entry Point Not Found (integrator.exe is the TuneUp Utilities component)
The procedure entry point @R could not be located in the dynamic link library RegExp.bpl.

Moreover, concerning the Microsoft Fixit Center: http://fixitcenter.support.microsoft.com/Portal/GetStarted

I have downloaded the application, and when I open it, it displays this message: .NET Framework Initialization Error. Unable to find a version of the runtime to run this application. Additional software is required to run Fix It Center - .NET Framework 2.0 or higher.

But I have already installed the latest version of .NET Framework, which is 4.0, on my system, but to no avail.

Another problem is that when I use the Windows Update website, I am required to validate my copy of Windows XP, and the result is that my copy is an invalid, ingenuine copy of Windows XP; but my copy is genuine, and the key is also genuine, and the web site also displays the message that Microsoft has stopped producing Windows XP, and the key is invalid.

How do I install those official Windows updates on that web site?
