Microsoft Math 3.0 keeps asking to validate even after I have entered the product key RRS feed

  • Question

  • I purchased Microsoft Math 3.0 through the Microsoft website and received my confirmation email with the product code.  I launched the program, entered the code when prompted, and it stated that the product was activated.  I went to use the software the next day, and it again asked me to validate the software.  Again I entered the product key and again received the confirmation that it had been activated.  I launched the software again this morning and the program prompted me to activate it, additionally telling me that I only have 3 more days to use it.

Is this a known issue or bug?  What would be my next step?

    Thanks!

Unfortunately, I can see nothing in the report that indicates anything wrong with the licensing system in either Windows  or Office, and there's nothing there for Math 3.0 at all.
All I can suggest is that you try activating it after launching the program using Run As Admin - it may be that the permissions for activation aren't correct for Win 7 in normal UAC mode.

I'm not sure whether Math 3.0 is included in the system - but try this anyhow....
To properly analyse and solve problems with Activation and Validation, we need to see a full copy of the report produced by the MGADiag tool (download and save to desktop - http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 )
    Once saved, run the tool.
Click on the Continue button, which will produce the report.
To copy the report to your response, click on the Copy button in the tool (ignore any error messages at this point), and then paste (using either r-click/Paste, or Ctrl+V ) into your response.
