  • ANy way to reset a password?  I'm trying to open a back up file after changing computers and I don't remember the password for MS money 2002

  • Nope. If you don't have the password, you can't open it. Money was designed to be SECURE - there is no backdoor. Try to remember all of your passwords, keep a pen and paper next to your bed in case you remember one at night. Good luck.

    PS - You can change the password, but you need to open Money first, requiring the original password. You can't change it without having the current one.

  • If you can still access the Money file on your old computer you can open it, remove the password, and then save the Money.mny file.  Then you can copy the Money.mny file to you new computer.  Post back if you need help with removing the password.
