Problem in migration from Development to Production environment RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all,

I've tried to use the below method to create fields mapping between opportunityproduct and quotedetail entities:

    http://crm-pitstop.blogspot.com/2009/08/you-might-have-noticed-how-certain.html

but when i've tried to migrate my customizations from Development environment to Production environment and while i'm trying to import them the following error ocurred:

Failure: quotedetail: A SQL Server error occurred. Try this action again. If the problem continues, check the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Community for solutions or contact your organization's Microsoft Dynamics CRM Administrator. Finally, you can contact Microsoft Support.

I was thinking that the error occurs due to the not supported mapping that i did

so i've tried to remove the added fields and tried to restart the migration process again but the same error occurs

    any help ??

    thanks in advance..

  • Mostafa,

To find exactly which element of customization was failing you need to run a trace and try to import customization once again. Log files generated by trace will point you to the element which you will be able to remove from customizations (which is also unsupported).

  • In this method you're referencing to the GUIDs which are always different in different environments.Probably that's why you have an error.
