  • Hello li_on,

The issue as I understand it is that Windows has asked you to reactivate a number of times and it happens every couple of days and you have not changed any hardware during that time.

Windows asking to be activated isn't always caused by changing hardware.

Some hardware drivers can change the Hardware ID of the hardware it controls.  This can make Windows think new hardware was added or changed. In addition, some updates can include new hardware Drivers so some Updates can also cause Windows to think new hardware was added or changedl.

Lastly, a Licensing Store issue (which the steps that Noel provided was intended to correct) can also cause Windows to need to be re-activated.

So now, you have followed the steps that Noel has provided and Windows has Reactivated successfully.  Since your issue occurs every couple of days, we won't know if those steps have fixed the issue until a couple of days have passed and Windows no longer asked to be reactivated. If Windows does ask to be reactivated in that time, we know the steps didn't solve the problem.

At this point, I recommend waiting a couple of days to see if Windows does (or does not) ask to be reactivated.

-If Windows does not ask to be reactivated, then the issue would appear to be resolved.

-If Windows does ask to be reactivated (and you haven't installed any updates or Drivers within that time period), then I would recommend contacting Microsoft assisted support at one of the below URLs for additional assistance.

    Outside North America:
    http://support.microsoft.com/contactus/?ws=support#tab0

    Hope that helps,

Additional grace period (KMS license expired or equipment is beyond the tolerance period) is not a message I have ever seen associated with an OEM System Builder license.
Coupled with the fact that the installation appears not to have been activated at all, and still has two days to do so, it is a little confusing.
Please attempt to Activate Windows over the internet - what happens?
If it fails, post a new report.

It looks like your Licensing Store has become corrupted
Try the below steps to recreate the Store and its data.

    1) Click Start button.
    2) Type: CMD.exe into the 'Search programs and files' field
    3) Right-Click on CMD.exe and select 'Run as Administrator'
    4) Type: net stop sppsvc   (It may ask you if you are sure, select yes)
Note: the Software Protection survive may not be running, this is ok.
    5) Type: cd %windir%\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\SoftwareProtectionPlatform
    6) Type: rename tokens.dat tokens.bar
    7) Type: cd %windir%\system32
    8) Type: net start sppsvc
    9) Type: slui.exe
    10) After a couple of seconds Windows Activation dialog will appear. It's most likely that Activation will occur automatically but you may be asked to re-enter your product key and/or to reactivate.

Once complete, reboot, then run MGADiag again, and post the new report.

MGADiag  report is the same as above.
