The highlighted part of the post is what is saying that the product you have installed is invalid.

Professional Plus is only sold as a volume license to businesses, academic institutions and governmental agencies in quantities of 5 or more licenses.  I may then be sold through the business as a home use product that dies when the person leaves the employ of the employer.  If you meet the qualifications for the license you need to contact the IT department of your place of employment.

If you placed an order for the product from any other source, online or store purchase, you have purchased a product that was sold to you in violation of the licensing agreement with Microsoft by an unscrupulous dealer.  The license key that you have was produced by a key generator program to mimic a real license from Microsoft but it was NOT issued by Microsoft.

You need to do a few things.  One, contact the seller and demand a full refund of the purchase.  Two, report the software as pirated by starting a report at www.microsoft.com/piracy.&nb sp; You may also go to this web site and go about 2/3 way down (What is the genuine Office offer?) to see how you may be able to obtain a free or limited cost legal version of the software.  http://www.microsoft.com/genuine/downloads/FAQ.aspx?displaylang=en< /A>

  • Hello tactura,

Right now your Dell OptiPlex GX520 computer has only one installation of Office which is the nongenuine Office Professional Plus 2007 volume licensing edition.

If the computer came with a full installation of Office 2003 (as opposed to a trial installation), and you happen to have an unused upgrade license for Office Professional 2007, then you could uninstall the nongenuine Office 2007, install the Office 2003 it came with, then install an upgrade license for Office 2007.

Assuming the Office 2003 is a genuine, full product and not a trial, and assuming the Office Professional 2007 is a genuine upgrade product, the end result will be a genuine installation of Office Professional 2007.

If you purchased the current nongenuine copy of Office Pro Plus 2007 in a genuine looking retail package and the package came with genuine looking materials inside (hologrammed disc, user guide, etc) then you may qualify for the Complimentary replacement from Microsoft.

  • Just a helpfull hint: This is a forum, not instant messaging.

A Forum is analogist to a pinning a note on a message board out in a hallway.  Someone may pin up a reply message, but only after they have walked down the hall, looked at the message board and seen the original message.

Generally the expectation, when posting a message on a Forum is that you will get a response, but usually not quickly. In this forum you can expect an answer within (at least) 24 hours, but usually sooner.

If that is not acceptable, please create a (no cost) support request at the appropriate URL (below) for more immediate assistance.
