What happens when you connect to the internet, follow this click path [Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>Activate Windows] and try to run the Activation Wizard?

  • I must add that I purchased this copy of XP pro from a department store and it was completely sealed. I did not install it myself it was done by a computer company.

Please be patient with me as i don't understand computer talk so if you could just explain in simple terms that would be great.

I also keep getting a message,"internet explorer cannot display  the web page" on different web pages in more than one spot.

  • Thanks Dan but it seems to have sorted itself as it's now telling me that windows has been activated. But still getting the messages (in blocks) that "page cannot be displayed" or similar. It seems to be on the part of pages where there should be an advertisement. What do you think could be causing it?
