  • General discussion

  • It's not really a Bug Ok it bugs the Heck out of me. You be sitting at your computer all of a sudden wloc shuts down. If your not at the computer when the update alert saying wloc about to update. You miss that because you were away from the computer. You sit down wloc shuts down it's like What the heck going on now. Here it's just Wloc client update.

First time it happens you'll almost wind up with almost a heart attack takes a few updates to get use to it too.

  • I've been annoyed by that since the first time I saw that behavior with 1.0. Please bug it as I think (as you apparently also do) that this is bad design.

  • I typed up a Bug report on this but it's been reported in the past I doubt they'll do anything

  • Well, the good news, actually, is that it did change since the first one of those updates back with 1.0. The first one applied the updated and then rebooted the PC within a few minutes - with only a short warning. Now it is a several hour warning, but the network is locked down tight until you reboot as OneCare has shut down for the update. In my opinion, it should download the update and *then* tell you that it has an update, change your status to yellow and wait for you to apply it. If you ignore the warning, go to red. *Never* update by shutting down the services and then announce that you need to reboot to complete the update - no matter how long the countdown.
