It should be 12 months from the date of original activation with a LiveID. The first thing I would do is check the date and time on the PC if you are seeing this on the main screen of OneCare. You can also check at http://billing.microsoft.com for the actual status of your subscription. If it shows 4/28/08 there, too. It would appear to me that you may have created a subscription for that LiveID on 4/28/07. If you now have a new retail CD, at the Billing link above, select "renew" and use the option to renew with a token, which is the product key from inside the retail case, behind the CD, which will extend the subscription for 12 more months.

I went online and entered the retail purchased PIN and it updated it out to 4/28/09. My subscription still shows 4/28/08 as the expiration date. Im worried it updated the other/old PIN but not the new one.
My older/other subscription was set to expire on 4/28/08...but it suddenly deactivated both PC's the other day so I had to buy a new subscription. I did this, and now instead of updating the new PIN with a December date, its updating with the old date...its like the website isnt working correctly.
Please assist, thank you

Ah! You appear to have been hit by the bug affecting some users on upgrade to 2.0 where your copy expires prematurely. At this point, are you showing the 4/28/08 date on both PCs? And, online, are you showing the 4/28/09 extended date at http://billing.microsoft.com?

Yes, both PC’s are showing an expiration of 4/25/08 (to be exact). Online goes out to 04/25/2009….but doesn’t break it out between the 2 PINs as to which lasts to when.
I knew I bought the new subscription before it was out of date, but there was no way around it online; so I figured I just lost out with Microsoft.
Please let me know; here is what I received after I updated my PIN online:

As long as your subscription shows the 2009 expiration on the billing site, I would sit tight for a bit. The ability to show the subscription expiration in OneCare is new, so perhaps you've uncovered a bug.
The new key that you added extended your subscription for another 12 months.
