Can't get 2nd computer to activate One Care Protection RRS feed

We bought a laptop for my son and  installed One Care for use at college.  I installed Windows Live One Care on my PC at home but have never been able to activate it.  Spent at least 35 hours trying so far.  No, I'm not very savvy about computers but I need ours for looking up research articles on the web and for writing reports.  I am disabled with arthritis, severe Fibromyalgia, and recently diagnosed Diabetes which is not yet under control.  Stress exacerbates all three of these conditions as does the weather (actually change in barometer) and we've had 3 weeks of rain and snow storms.  My time has run out - I've no more protection.  My son uses Yahoo; we have a private company.  I have all of his info with which he registered except the Windows Live ID.  We're both stumped.  I need someone to guide me through this one-on-one by phone.  Does anyone know how to get this help?  Does it make any difference is we use different internet providers?  I have read everything at this site on Help Center, and Help Central.  I have so many questions, which have not been answered on the FAQ's.  I still want to use One Care for a third computer so I'm reluctant to install it again on my PC for fear that that will use up the third-computer-protection.  Please Help.  I need the phone number of a very patient expert to install this!  I am still

  • I'm sorry that trying to activate is causing you stress. In order to activate, you'll need to LiveID that was used on your son's PC. It can be found on his PC by opening OneCare and clicking Help/About... - it will be the subscription ID.

If you can't get that from him, you can contact support by email through the instruction here -

How to reach support (FAQ) - http://forums.microsoft.com/WindowsOneCare/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=2421771&SiteID=2

With the retail key from the package or your credit card, if the original subscription was purchased online, support can tell you the LiveID.
