failed to start / connect RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have tried installing multiple times and every time after installation when I start the program it say "connecting..." but never does. I can log in online to sky drive no problem.

Using windows 7 32 bit. I was going to report a bug but I do not have the option to collect live mesh logs using the stated proceedure below. The folder in Start only contains the application.

Start Menu: Click 'Start' and then 'All Programs' so that you are looking at the program folder for Live Mesh. Now in the program folder for Live Mesh you will see the option for 'Collect Live Mesh Logs'.

  • I would suggest using the new Windows Live Mesh - http://explore.live.com/windows-live-essentials?os=other - part of Windows Live Essentials 2011. It will not install on XP, though.

If you want to use Live Mesh Beta until it is killed (when? unknown), then try resetting your IE settings to default. if you are using a proxy server, Live Mesh beta won't work.

  • Didn't realize this board was just for the the beta version. I am having the above issue with the latest live essential 2011 version. I have posted the same question on the windows live solution center forum.

  • The forum situation was confusing when Essentials went to beta, but it is even more confusing now that the final was renamed to Windows Live Mesh. I haven't spent much time in the other forum, but I trust that a solution or at least an answer will be forthcoming.
