Genuine Office 2007 - change activation details RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,
    I've just bought a "new" computer and was setting it up when all in a sudden the message came up that this is not a genuine activation key on my laptop when starting Outlook 2007.
    From the Microsoft office program list this should be an Office Profissional 2007 Ultimate version installed.
    The computer is a return, when looking into the activation info there is a name mentioned which I assume has been entered while activating the office package.
    My questions now are:
    How to find out if the office key is genuine?
    How do I change the activation details? I am now the genuine owner of this laptop and I seriously want to keep it!

    Assistance would be much appreciated!
    Thank you!
    Regards

  • From your MGA report:

    OGA Data-->
    Office Status: 108 Invalid VLK
    Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007 - 108 Invalid VLK

    What this means, unfortunately, is the installed copy of Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007 is counterfeit.  It is a Volume License version installed using a Volume License product key that was not issued by Microsoft and likely created by an illegal product key generator.  For more information, please see: What is the genuine Office offer?
