    Hi,

    When creating a opportunity, we have to link this to an Account (in customerid).
    We will never link an oppportunity to a contact.

    Is it possible to only show accounts in the field customerid?
    So when we search an account, it will not display any contacts?

    Hi,
    the above method uses unsupported customization, this means that is not guaranteed that works currently or on future rollups.
    A supported way to realize your requirement is to add a new lookup field connected to account and keep synchronized the value with the customerid field.
    You can use javascript (or also business rules if it is CRM 2013)

    Hmm, is still can see contacts in the list..
    Doest this also work on CRM2013?
