Vista RTM Activation Key

Question
-
I am a beta tester/author.'Got Vista Ultimate thru my publisher. Vista Ultimate RTM now threatens to shut down on Christmas Day and the two prior activation codes I've been given for RCs fail, (show as "in use") .
It was my understanding that testers who submitted bugs (and I submitted plenty) would get free activation codes. Any idea where/how? Santa maybe? I've been good.
Thanks.

All versions of Vista can run for their first 30 days without being activated.

Ron:
The RTM keys for beta-testers have already been handed out to qualified beta-test team members (since November). Are you part of the CPP program, or the actual Vista Technical Beta program?
The VTB program have recieved their product keys already - if you're part of this program, what is your Technical Beta Program membership ID? I will make sure a product key is sent to it.
The CPP program, while technically a "beta" is not part of the VTB and may be under different rules for qualifying to recieve an RTM product key.

Hi Phil, thanks.
Not sure which program the publisher is in, if any. This beta program arrangements were made by my book publisher Que (a/k/a Pearson). Can provide a publishing contact name to you, but not as a post.
I downloaded RC1 myself, at which time I was issued a key (I can provide if you need it). The publisher then sent me hand-burnt DVDs for RC2 and the RTM. Neither the key from the publisher nor the key for the downloaded RC1 work with RTM. Both error-out as "in use" elsewhere.
I have participated in bug reporting, primarily via the "Problem Reports and Solutions" feature and MBC, have worked with Dell to help them resolve some Vista issues, and otherwise been a good beta citizen.
I've now spent more than two-hours on the phone bouncing all around India with no success and numerous circular references back to the same three ineffective phone numbers. After escallating the problem and asking for a supervisor he transfered me to an XP tech who knows nothing about Vista...
I would even purchase Vista Ultimate this week if that was an option, but of course it is not.
'Just need a working key or a way to extend the demo until the retail product ships.
Any help would be appreciated. Can I simply reinstall the RTM for another 30-days?
Six days and counting, then it's back to XP, which would be a shame, (and a pain).
Ron
Sorry this was so long. 'Needed something to do while listening to music on hold.

Could you please file a service request here (http://support.microsoft.com/oas/default.aspx?&c1=509&gprid=9860&) and provide me your SR # when you recieve it?
The product key you recieved from your publisher should work just fine, and I can check into the activation history for your specific product key to see whats going on. If worst comes about, you can still use your RC2 Vista until consumer release :).
I can use the SR to directly contact you (with your permission) and look up details for the product key and the company you're with to see if you qualify for a free VTB Vista RTM Product key.
Yes, you can reinstall RTM for another 30-days, but its quite a hassle (just an opinion). I would suggest using RC2 until you can upgrade to a fully licensed RTM.
