Redeployment of MSCRM3.0 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all experts,

I have to redeploy a MSCRM3.0 today from old AD to a new one, the server will be the same one, so i just want to check with all you.

Server is running everything MSCRM3.0 /SQL /Reporting services, Scribe.

    i have done so far:

    Backup of bouth databases
    Backup of scribe database
    Backup of costumization.xml
    Backup of callout.config.xml
    Backup of MSCRM_workflow.XML

my plan is now to :

    patch it with Rollup3
    Uninstall MSCRM3.0 application part
    Install Redeployment tool
Map users from old AD to a new one
    Install MSCRM3.0 Application
    Import Customizations and workflows
    Reconect Scribe jobs.

    anything i forgot here?

  • You forget about Redeployment tool (available on the MS CRM 3.0 disk) which change AD GUID. In v.4.0 it is easier but in v.3 you need to run it before you will uninstall it.

    You need to:

    On Old server:
    1. Backup all MSCRM databases
    2. Backup customizations, workflows, own reports
    3. Run redeployment tool and save configuration
    On New Server:

    1. Restore Databases (if new SQL server)
    2. Run Redeployment Tool and load configuration
    3. Install CRM
    4. Install customizations, workflows, reports
