MS Project 2010 signals error, when one task has linked more than one deliverable. RRS feed

  • Question

  • Strongely bizarre. I get the following message:

    Error

    The task you are attempting to link to already has a deliverable or dependency linked to it.
    Any idea what's up? In documentation I don't observe limitations in this field.

  • Hi Bartosz,

    If you link deliverables to a task , you are limited to one deliverable per task. See Ben's post under the limitations section:
    http://www.applepark.co.uk/deliverables/

    though I haven't seen it on documentation (link below) but when we try to create a new deliverable on a task which already has one, it throws message which you mentioned.

  • Amit;

    I manage to link several deliverables to one task from the code (C#, PSI). In documentation on WebSvcOLP there's that You can link as many, as it takes. Problem starts in Project Professional, which for such a tasksystem shows the message.
