  • Question

  • Hi,

I have two entities: Project and Task. and has 1:N relationship.

My scenario is that 1 project has multiple tasks and every task has two fields (start date, end date). Now i want to show duration of every task in calender as show in service calender. In short, I want to create custom service calender for project. Kindly tell me about this scenario. is it possible or any alternative solution.

  • The CRM Service calendar will only display the appointment and serviceappointment entity. So, if you want to use the CRM Service calendar, you could write a plugin that creates an appointment or serviceappointment record for each of your custom task records. The main effort then is ensuring that changes to the record are reflected in the appointment or serviceappointment record.

Otherwsie, you could create your own users interface as an HTML or Silverlight web resource, but this would be a significant amount of development effort.

  • Hi David,

I can create serviceappointment record for each custom task records by using a trigger in sql server. Is it enough for using service calender?
