CRM 3.0 Change server license key RRS feed

    Hi All,

     

    We have a test server running with the same license key as our production server. After xx days it asks for an activation, which we don't want because it might interfer with our production server, right ? So, we bought another license (we ordered that together with the production key, but it came later, hence the installation with the production key). .

     

    Now we want to change that key, but it seems the license manager doesn't want to do that. I can't delete the existing one, and I also can't add a new one. It returns the message "A server license has already been added".

     

    Does anyone know how I can change the key, without reinstalling the CRM environment ?

  • I think you will have to reinstall the CRM environment, but you can take the 'Connect to Existing Databases' option during install to retain all the data
