Direction to:" Step-by-Step Instructions For Using Hostfile to Block Intrusive Ads From Offline Apps" RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm hoping someone can lead me to 'Step-by-Step Instructions For Using Hostfile to Block Intrusive Ads From Offline Apps'. I have a game app that has recently added an ad publisher that believes in cookies even when I delete data of my browser use, and this behavior is causing poor performance of the app. It's a good app and my issue is only with one ad company (DesktopAd if you've ever heard of them). I've heard this is a good way for people that only want to block a few ads not a list of ads like browser add-ons do (ABP). I'm using Windows 8.1 with IE 11 browser. Thank you for your time.
