It sounds to me like the OneCare printer sharing function is using an incorrect driver for your printer. Since you can share it normally through Windows, I'd not bother with the OneCare printer sharing functionality. However, you can contact support for help with getting it working correctly.

If it fails to validate your subscription, select the option that you are using a trial or beta copy and you can proceed to email support without validation once you've signed in.
