Interpreting last digit of product key

  I can read/understand the first 24 alpha/numbers of my key but the last one (which looks like a low case l) because it runs into a wide black line which is part of the que running underneath the key numbers.  I have tried L, l, J, j, and the nunber 1 and these do not work.  I cannot access a phone number to call because I cannot enter my full key to find one of these stealth/invisible technical persons phone numbers.  So I am dead in the water.  Help!
