I was aware of drive pooling, however, it is really nothing like DE. For
one thing it is only going to work with SAS drives, and for another, it is
going to require management, really no simpler than creating or managing a
RAID array. It still isn't going to be a technology aimed at the home user
like DE was.

Not entirely sure what you mean by DE but Windows Server 8 is already
available if you've got a Technet or MSDN subscription. No idea if or even
when it will be publicly available.

forum. Not sure why you'd assume that Drive Extender is going to be in
