  • Hi Ben,

I am absolutely in love with Mesh and dying to get into the Beta, but I am Dutch (sorry can't help it ;)).

I'm quite fluent in English so an English GUI isn't a problem for me, is there a way for me to get in?

(My Connect page doesn't show  Mesh)

  • Hi,

You can certainly get on the waiting list, but I'm afraid that the Live Mesh Tech Preview is currently available in the US only.  We will contact you, however, when a version is available in your country.

If you go to http://connect.microsoft.com and click on "Connection Directory" at the top of the page, then sort the Categories by Name (A-Z), and scroll down, you should see Live Mesh Tech Preview with an "Apply Now" link to the right.

    Thanks,

    Ben.

  • how often are more people allowed into the preview?  is there a reasonable-enough chance of new people on the waiting list getting it within 30 days?  90 days?  6 months?

  • I'm afraid we are not yet ready to provide a general timeframe for adding new customers to the Live Mesh Tech Preview.  We are currently working on fixing issues before adding more people.  We will, however, certainly let you know when we are opening again.  I know that's not a very satisfying answer, but unfortunately that's all we can say at this time.

    Thank you for your patience,

    Ben.

  • I got access through an invite from an existing user.  Before i got that invite I signed up on connect.  Going to connect now shows my request as pending.

Is there anything i'm missing to be able to submit feedback or read help doc that only available via the connect site?

  • Hi Shawn,

We would like for you to be able to submit this bug to the team.  Please send an email requesting Connect access to lmprev@microsoft.com which contains: (a) your Live ID (for use with Connect), and (b) your handle on these forums (to help us track the request).  We will then be able to give you access to our Connect site so that you can submit your bug information.

    Thank you,

    Ben.

  • I haven't seen any information apart from this forum that Mesh is currently only available in the US. I've been wondering why I'm still on the waiting list.

Microsoft is leaving non-US residents in the cold... again. Even worse is that they don't share this information properly so most of us have been waiting for nothing.

EDIT - I've now noticed the US-only message when signing up, not sure if that was there when I signed up (it probably was though). I certainly hope the language isn't the reason why Mesh isn't available here. Personally I couldn't care less about a Dutch version of Mesh, English works just as well for me.
