Dynamic Disks and Spanned Volumes on the Client PC RRS feed

    WHS has been happily backing up a PC which is set up with dynamic disks and spanned volumes across at least two of the 4 physical drives.

    Although WHS has backed up the files off the spanned volume OK, and without going through a trial restore just yet, is the WHS restore function able to cope with dynamic disks and spanned volumes without any problems?

    Windows Home Server should have no trouble with that configuration. However, because of the way backups are treated, you will probably have to pre-create any spanned partitions before restoring them.
    I'm not on the WHS team, I just post a lot. :)
