WGA Validation without internet access RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a number of workstations behind an IPCop firewall and these computers do not have any internet access whatsoever.

I have Internet Explorer 7 which requires WGA Validation and it fails because it does not have internet access to perform the validation.

Is there a way to work around this problem?

  • James Nesbitt,

There is no "offline" validation, so there is no way to validate an IE7 installation without internet access.

If allowing temporary interent access is out of the question, then your only option is to uninstall IE7 from Add or Remove Programs and IE6 will be put back in place.
