Can't re-enter my product key on an already installed upgrade for windows vista home premium RRS feed

  • Question

  • M computer came with a  pre-installed windows xp. I bought windows vista home premium upgrade. My son downloaded a malware onto my system. I had to reformat my system. My system will not allow me to install my old windows, so I can install the upgrade. Windows tells me that m product key is only for upgrade. Which I know but I cannot but in m old windows.  I just ran you diagnostic and the product key that you have is not the one that I have for my vista. What can I do?
