WordPad - Option "Change Icon" in "Ole properties" dialog is broken - bug in OleDlg.dll? RRS feed

    Hi,

    Please follow scenario for Windows 7:
    1. open WordPad

    2. Insert some object via "Insert Object" from ribbon

    3. Select option "Create from file" and select some file

    4. Select "Display as Icon"

    5. Confirm with OK button

    --- note icon is different then the one visible as preview ---

    6. Right click on inserted object and from popup menu select "Object properties" and select "View" tab

    7. Attempt to change icon - whatever you choose the icon will remain the same as in step 5.

     

    I assume it is a bug/defect in oledlg.dll for Windows 7. You can change icon of inserted object in WordPad for Windows XP. (I do not have Vista to check this issue there).

     

    Where can I submit this defect to Microsoft?
