Issue about import project plan RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi everybody,

I use Project server 2013 no service pack.
I have some issue when I want to import file .mpp to existing project on project server.

I choose "save as" option and type existing project name and publish for import .mpp to server
but data in custom fields which remain in project disappear.

Who know other way to import task in .mpp but keep data in custom fields?

    Thank u :)

  • Hello, Where did the mpp file come from? Another Project Server farm? Are these lookup table values that disappear? If so, I would look at copying the values to local fields then import the projects. Once imported add the values back to the enterprise fields. Paul

  • Thank you Paul,

My .mpp is local file from client.

From your recommendation, only copying value is the best way.

And I found when save to same name , time sheet on each user will show old and new task.

Is it normal? That make owner task confuse.
