Windows 7 x 64 scheduled task not working RRS feed

  • Question

  • As the title says I'm using Windows 7 x 64. Synctoy 2.1 doesn't work when scheduled to run as a task. If I type "C:\Program Files\SyncToy 2.1\SyncToyCmd.exe" (for "Program/script") and -R Safe or -R "Safe" for the argument (as Safe is the name of my folder pair.) I get a result of (1). (I have the scheduled task configured to run even if the user is logged out, as well as "Run with the highest privileges"

However if I type the following:

    cd C:\program files\synctoy 2.1\

    synctoycmd.exe -R Safe

into a txt file create a batch file, then manually execute it, it works fine. Also typeing the same in a CMD window works. If I configure a scheduled task to run the batch file (which I have verified to work manually) I also get a result (1).

My folder pair is "echoing" a external USB  drive (G:) to a mapped (NAS) drive (S:)

Is there something I'm doing wrong? Can any one please help?

  • Hi,

Can you try entering the arguments as  "-R" "Safe"
