  • Unfortunately, someone installed a copy of Windows 7 Home Premium and did not enter a genuine perpetual license product key.  You can either purchase a Windows 7 Home Premium product key and enter it, or you can visit: Acer Recovery Media Purchase Program and order the appropriate Windows recovery disc, reformat the hard drive and install it.

  • Just some additional detail about the issue:  Whoever installed that current copy of Windows, did not enter a product key during the install.  When no key is entered during install, Windows uses it's own default product key that acts like a Trial key.  It allows you to use Windows for 30 days but then requires a Full Product key to continue using.

As Carey has explained, you can either purchase a Windows 7 Home Premium product key and enter it, or you can visit: Acer Recovery Media Purchase Program and order the appropriate Windows recovery disc, reformat the hard drive and install it.

    Thank you,

    Darin MS
