MapPoint zip code mapping RRS feed

  • I am trying to find map generation software that offers zip code mapping for my business.  I could not tell from the online trial if MapPoint offers this.  I would like to find out before I buy the software.  Appreciate you giving advice

  • I'm not sure exactly what kind of zipcode mapping you want. MapPoint plot data by zipcode - eg. pushpins (which will be located at zipcode centroids), shaded area, pie charts, sized pie charts, etc.

    MapPoint has a free 60 day trial that can be downloaded, so try it and see if it will do what you want.

    The USPS is constantly changing zipcodes as towns are built/etc, so I would recommend you use the latest available version (MapPoint 2010, with MapPoint 2011 probably due soon).

  • I need to be able to show the zip codes on a map of Los Angeles county.   Ideally, it would have major streets/freeways, etc included in the map so we would be able to identify which zip code we needed based on geo-target.  I'd appreciate you letting me know what software is out there that can do this.  I will try the 60 day free trial for MapPoint as you suggest, but don't want to bother if it can't do this.  Thanks, JF
