why not a voicemail line on the today screen, with WM 6.1 Professional for touchscreens? RRS feed

  • Question

  • voice mail is a top concern for me.  i came to the forums because the absence of voicemail in the items to appear on the today screen checklist [Settings>Today>Items tab], with WM6.1 Professional for touchscreen killed all my plans, and shocked me.  and until the today screen includes voice mail i don't have any plans.  the system is now checking new voice mail, and providing notifications such as 'you have 2 new voice message(s)'.  an item on the today screen providing a voice mail count of some extent is a totally realistic vision.

I appreciate what you are saying but I think the notification that does appear and will remain at the top of the screen until you access is doing what you want.

Look at these two screenshots here:

  • Although you may want a different notification type, possibly a 3rd party vendor has an option that will keep it displayed after listening but I've never seen one.  I've always found the voice mail notification more than sufficient. And of course, after you listen, the notification is gone which is good so when a NEW message appears, you are aware of it but keep in mind that they remain on the server until deleted.  That process is a function of the service provider.
