Validation tool is now replaced by an ActiveX-version. (You have to use an ActiveX compatible browser i.e. Internet Explorer)Thursday, August 23, 2012 2:14 PM

i am having the same issue when trying to download "client side extensions" for our windows xp machines. KB943729 says it requires validation to download. when i try to run the validation tool i get a windows genuine advantage message:
"this version of windows genuine advantage validation tool is no longer supported. please download the newest version and ensure that your system clock is accurate"
ok...so how do i get a validation code to download CSE??
i ran the validation from the link Carey Frisch posted, it finished and just redirected me to a page to download more "genuine Microsoft software"no results or codes of my validation at all.
its unbelievable how difficult it is to get a utility that should come with server 2008 r2 i cant deploy printers to xp machines until i get CSE. what am i doing wrong? the same thing happens on every computer.

I am having the same issue. Trying to download http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=24188
I have a valid copy window seven, have been able to validate in the past. I tried in IE 9. First it lets me download and install what should prompt an active x controller but doesn't. So I move on to validate the other way and same problem :"this version of windows genuine advantage validation tool is no longer supported. please download the newest version and ensure that your system clock is accurate"
I am still looking for a solution. I am only trying to download an update for another crappy working microsoft product. This is complete nonsense.

Please start a new thread of your own, and post an MGADiag report.
To properly analyse and solve problems with Activation and Validation, we need to see a full copy of the report produced by the MGADiag tool
(download and save to desktop - http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 )
Once saved, run the tool.
Click on the Continue button, which will produce the report.
To copy the report to your response, click on the Copy button in the tool (ignore any error messages at this point), and then paste (using either r-click/Paste, or Ctrl+V ) into your response.
- **in your own thread**, pleasePlease also state the Version and Edition of Windows quoted on your COA sticker (if you have one) on the case of your machine (or inside the battery compartment), but do NOT quote the Key on the sticker!
