Mail Merge returns too few contacts after upgrading from CRM 3 to CRM 4 RRS feed

    I have been upgrading a few CRM 3 to CRM 4, but with the latest upgrade I have a serious problem.


    My problem is that Mail Merge function return only a small selection of the total amount of contacts when I try to select them all.


    This worked before i upgraded the CRM 3 solution.

    When I create a new contact this is added to my mail merge list and works.

    I have checked, and allusers have Yes to marketing and Yes to E-mails.


    All i have noted when upgrading was that the Marketing Information section was moved to a "Conflict" tab on Contacts, but the section is empty.

    I hope that someone can help me figure this problem out.

  • I found the solution to be quite simple.

     

    A hidden field "allow mail" was not correctly upgraded from CRM 3 to CRM 4.

     

    In CRM 3 this field was autumatically set to Allow, but this information was not converted into the new CRM 4 field where this field in most cases was set to "NULL"

     

    We had to make a small workflow to update all contacts to "allow email"
