  • I didn't know either (so I don't have examples), but now is as good a time as any to learn.

    Google books excerpt from CRM 4 for Dummies seems pretty self-explanatory:

    http://books.google.com.au/books?id=QHsfCAveHoYC&pg=PA85&lpg=PA85&dq=crm+product+rounding&source=bl&ots=ykOmenplnx&sig=OTMyG5-lNNn-4ylst1BOLRzcycA&hl=en&ei=ozRfTMT5PI6EvgPLod2ZDA&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=10&ved=0CFEQ6AEwCQ#v=onepage&q=crm%20product%20rounding&f=false

    Tis basically a mechanism to implement a policy for the rounding of price calculations when the pricing method is based on percentages.

  • Thanks for your help.

    Unfortunately, I looked at it already but the explanation was not clear either.  When I tested the rounding option through CRM, I don't know have the clear formula.  Any idea?

  • I'll give it a shot.

    Rounding Policy

    Specifies in which direction to round; all options are with respect to the options selected in 'Rounding Option' and 'Rounding Amount'

    None - NO rounding
    Up - always round up
    Down - always round down
    To Nearest - round to the nearest matching number

    Rounding Amount

    A numerical value that gives the rounding policy a numeric target for fractional currency values.

    Rounding Option

    Ends In

    Eg.

    If 'Rounding Amount' is .00 and 'Rounding Policy' is Down:

    3.56 -> 3.00
    4.23 -> 3.00

    If 'Rounding Amount' is .99 and 'Rounding Policy' is to Nearest:

    2.88 -> 2.99
    3.02 -> 2.99

    Multiple Of

    Eg.

    If 'Rounding Amount' is .25 and 'Rounding Policy' is Up:

    3.65 -> 3.75
    2.87 -> 3.00

    Hopefully I've made some sense, because I need more coffee.
