Where to get network adapter driver if WHS is not one of the options as OS from PC manufacturer? RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • I bought a Dell Poweredge where I installed my W2k3 for evaluation. Now, I decided to try WHS instead so I installed this WHS also for evaluation. After successfully installed the WHS, I need to install drivers as basic procedure. That was my problem begun because I don't have a drivers CD anymore for this particular OS. I tried all my network adapter drivers but it doesn't accept it. Likewise, if you go to Dell website drivers and downloads, WHS is not an option as OS.

  • I've never seen any driver list WHS.  The Windows Server 2003 driver would be the one to try first.  Some have used XP drivers with success.

  • Thanks for the hint. I researched about my system from Dell specially my network card which is integrated to the motherboard. I got the model number and so with the manufacturer of this card which is Broadcom. I went to their website and downloaded the network card driver for this particular model which is also for Windows Server 2003 OS into my flash drive. Now, my homeserver is working. Thanks working1!
