Desktop stuck on taskbar - all icons vanished from desktop RRS feed

    Hi. 

    my 2 year old managed somehow to clear my desktop completely. if i right click the task bar, go to toolbar and add desktop i can see all my files there, just cant see them on the physical desktop. i´ve tried to google the problem with no luck (its not virtual desktop, tablet mode etcc)

    if i try to add a folder on the desktop, it wont even appear. 

    today im stuck with the toolbar at the bottom screen and i have to press the arrow to see my files that are supposed to be on my desktop.

    any ideas?
