ATTETION: Virus at MSN. Does OneCare Works? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I want to ask how we do the virus scan at windows live messenger.

In msn -> tools-> options-> transport files i did the installation of OneCare but i cannot find where it is to brows it to make the scan at msn with that program.

I have a very serious problem with the windows live messenger. The other day one of my contact "SENT" me a link as a instant message and i opened it. After that, every time i open my msn that link goes to all my contacts like i send it to them. My friend who gave me first that link said he had no idea and that he never sent me sth like that. Now everytime i log in is like i write to all my contacts that address and more over when they log in i receive it back from them!!!

That link appears as    www.clickforyou.com and its a webpage with another name i don't remember and its about to tell you who from your contacts at msn has block you.

Please inform me how can i solve that problem.

  • Please consider changing your password for your live messenger and it should stop...

Hope this would help and please next time be careful where you type in your usrname and password or putting your username or password on auto and where you open it esp in public cafe's and such.

  • It sounds like your PC has been infected by a virus sent via Messenger. Please contact OneCare support for help with removal.
