Update problems under XP RRS feed

  • Question

  • I removed Onecare from 2 computers and my brother (other location, other license) did the same on his XP computers. When using Vista there seems to be no problem. Under XP the PC freezes or uses too much resources and only shutting down the Onecare services in safe mode seems to solve the issue. We have exactly the same problems. For me this update release was the limit so I uninstalled Onecare. I think this should have been tested better ...

  • Yes I did however I think this could have been tested better before releasing it to the world. Microsoft is not a software bakery 'around the corner' and I think I can expect better from this company. Onecare is targeted at the average user and I think they have no clue at some levels at Microsoft what they are causing with this release in households not so familiar with software problems and solutions. So I don't even bother to open a ticket. For me this is the reason to quit using Onecare.
Anyway, I think you do a marvelous job here Steven and I wish you all the best.
