Unable to update Microsoft security essential error "0xc8000247", apparently my Windows installation is not genuine.

  Hi, I'm not able to update mse anymore and after some research I followed the advice on this thread http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-windows_install/error-oxc8000247/f698ac4a-a93f-4357-a3f5-8a2291e97714

   

  I went to microsoft.com/genuine and was not able to validate my windows' installation. It tell  that some files are missing or modified.

  I did a backup recently so that might be because of that.
