Bitlocker issue RRS feed

  • Question

  • Dear Microsoft members,

I am using 1 TB external Hard Drive from Seagate. I was trying to use Bitlocker for unlock the drive and while this process was in the working process at the 0.72% something went wrong and computer went to shut down.

Now when I am trying to open the Hard Drive but it asks for the password that was asked before unlock process and I recieve the message that the password is wrong and asking for recovery key. When I am typing the recovery key I get a message that the key is wrong.

Would would be a solution for completing the lock process in order to use Hard Drive in the future. Or if there is a possibility to save the data in the Hard Drive because while I am scanning the drive I see the data but I cant recover or get an access to them.

    Thank you.
