Think of the online courses as classroom training. When you were in school, you had both classroom instruction, and had to read through various books. Same situation applies. You'll want to subsidize any e-learning or computer based training with either a MS Press or Sybex book.
The advantages of using a Microsoft partner is that Microsoft has reviewed/approved their training materials, and they usually follow specific material. You'll have to check with specific providers (New Horizons, Global Knowledge) as to their payment options.
Personally, if you're disciplined enough, using both books and CBT training (CBT Nuggets, Trainsignal, TestOut) can be as good (if not better) than classroom based training as you can go at your own pace.- Marked as answer by Rubel Khan Friday, January 8, 2010 5:59 AM
