There are file conflicts.. RRS feed

  • Question

After installing Power Pack 1, I have a critical network error stating there are file conflicts.  This is good because I assume it is finding tombstones that don't have files associated anymore.  What I can't figure out is how to fix this problem.  There are two options in help, it says make sure programs using the files are closed, and check out microsofts website.  The website is useless.  Any suggestions?

  • Yes, someone already has posted the bug so I added a comment with my 2 cents.  Can't seem to clear the error even after deleting the files in question.  Oh the system cannot find the drive specified was the actualy error when looking in details.

  • I have the same issue and all I did was validate an existing bug report.  Should I open a seperate bug to submit my logs and CAB #?

  • I just installed PP1 RTM and have the same error message on multiple shared folders. Is there a fix for this yet?

  • I've had the issue too, but it went away in a short time.  I didn't do anything, it just went away.  Do I need to be concerned at all?

  • Your tombstones probably point to nonexistant files now.
I use this tool and it cleans it right up
