  • Hi Joe,

No, it is not telling you to Validate. It is giving the error that says "Windows License Will Expire in xx days/hours" and you may have text on your desktop that says "Evaluation Copy".

This is because you have a pre-release copy of Vista Service Pack 1 (called a Release Candidate) that is expiring. Please see the 2nd Thread, in this forum, titled " "Windows License will expire in XX days" + "Evaluation Copy" text on desktop " at http://forums.microsoft.com/Genuine/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=3554651&SiteID=25 for additional assistance.

    Thank you,
