Computer crashed....restored computer.......now unvalidated??? RRS feed

  • Question

  • So i turned my computer on today and I had some crazy error telling me I needed to restore my computer. So i did the restore to factory settings option and restored it. I then downloaded and installed the updates. Now my windows is not validated. i have an hewlett packard dv600 laptop. after the updates were installed it said aero could not work and i may not be genuine. I restarted my computer and I got no error message althgouth a super slow re-start. Just the bottom right hand screen says my copy of windows is not genuine? What the heck is going on?

    my results are as follows

  • Good Morning Andy,

Thank you for posting with us today :-). From what I see all appears well. Do you have an anti-virus program installed? If so please check for possible virus's.  Also I encourage you to use the ‘Windows Live Safety Scan for Windows Vista’ (http://onecare.live.com/site/en-us/center/whatsnew.htm) before contacting PC Safety.
