  • If you are getting a keyboard error when booting the PC and the monitor is black, that would seem to be a hardware problem, unfortunately, and coincidental to the OneCare installation.

The first thing to do is to power off the computer completely and check all connections. Remove the power cord for the computer from the wall outlet or power strip and plug it back in. Now turn the PC back on. If this still fails, contact your PC manufacturer support for help.

If the problem were caused by OneCare, you would most certainly get past the keyboard error and begin loading Windows before encountering an error or other problem caused by a potential conflict.

I hope that it turns out to be a simple reset.
