Counterfeit Win 7 Ultimate ? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I bought a Retail, boxed Win 7 Ultimate on eBay. Software listed as being in Magnolia, AR but it arrived express mail from China. Everything looks genuine: Box, COA, holograms on disks (both 32 and 64 bit included). Box was sealed and had INGRAM MICRO label on outside edge.

Unfortunately, I have been burned once already from eBay software so I installed it this morning and am asking you professionals to look at the MGADIAG file. Here it is

  • From your MGA report:

    Windows Product ID: 00426-067-8469726-86788

Unfortunately, the installed copy of Windows 7 has a MSDN product key.  I would recommend contacting the seller and demanding a 100% refund.

  • I presume that this should be reported to Microsoft Piracy. Any one else need to know? In any event, should I keep the software in case Microsoft wants it? or return to seller?
